I just had to pass on this information about a truly great safe, non-toxic, USDA certified organic, effective, new product, Greenology, http://greenologyproducts.com.
What makes them special?
“We make kill claims. There is no ORGANIC cleaner that we are aware of in the marketplace that is making kill claims. Many of the “safe” cleaners work “decently,” but they do NOT kill or remove microorganisms.”
“Our promise toward maintaining a sustainable environment means that we will, whenever possible, eliminate any risk of ecological erosion. This includes using organically grown ingredients, ensuring biodegradability, using recycled packaging and creating smaller packaging footprints, as often as possible.”
On store shelves in early Feb at Whole Foods and The Fresh Market and at Lowe’s in March.
I’m curious about the Seventh Generation brand. As it’s a local company for me living in VT, I like to support them, but why isn’t the brand on your list of good cleaning products? Are they not as good as they purport to be? Any info would be appreciated.
Seventh Generation is an amazing company. Their products are safe and effective. The cleaning products I have listed in this post and the last are actually USDA certified organic, which places them one step further by green standards. However, the USDA certified organic products such as Dr. Bronners do-everything liquid castille soaps, do not and cannot offer the variety of cleanser types that Seventh Generation, Ecover and Ecos offer. The most eco-friendly, of course, are the cleaners you make at home with ingredients such as vinegar, baking soda, borax, etc. (http://www.heatherferris.net/homemadecleaners.html)
