Thank you for including so many USDA certified skin care companies in one spot. It's nice that people don't have to search for hours online to find the best truly organic skin care products. This article has been very helpful to my family and friends as well.

Hi- Thanks for this page, i was looking for a lotion that is organic and hopefully 100 percent. But USDA certified will do. I dont agree that Origins is certified truthfully, they are 95% certified, and that lotion is the ONLY thing they have that is USDA. I would remove them from this list. If you check out www.cosmeticdatabase.com you will see that they a have a lot of ingredients that are not safe. Peace !!

It's worth a mention that not every product in organic skin care lines are necessarily certified organic. You should always look for the seal on each individual item. Miessance by One Group is the only company in the world at this time that has certified their entire skin care, hair care and body care range. Certified by the ACO, BFA and USDA.

Hello,

I have been searching for good organic line. My first stop Origins, and I was very excited to have found so call organic line without any difficulty, but after I log into the computer I realized the lies promoted by this brand..... they do not carry 100% cetified organic products not even close despite their USDA certification and I thought this certification I very good and you can any products if it has this certification and apart from this origins do not write the % of organic a particular products has and no where in the website a person can go and check the ingredients of the products.

Heather I am really confuse because I came across Dr. Mercola skin care products and supplement. And even they are very proudly saying that they carry USDA certified products and I was about to order their skin care till I came across your list and saw origin.....please help and if you can suggest me some good 100% CERTIFIED brand name for skin care , makeup, hair care, and your recommendation for Dr. Mercola products. thanx......

After many exhaustive hours(days!) searching for truly organic anti-aging facial products, and reasearching them on the skindeep website for hazard ratings, I came across zoetica products. It is also a spa in a "green" building, located in the Chicago area. I think this company should be on this list, as it has both the USDA organic seal, & a very low hazard rating on the national databse, skindeep.

Thank you for pointing this out Chris! My mistake. They were on my list. They are absolutely one of the greats, a cult classic. I've added them to this post and sent out a new post.
Best,
Heather

Don't forget about Badger Balm, www.badgerbalm.com. They were one of the first to make their entire product line USDA Certified organic (and they make great stuff).

Thanks for the kudos Christine! Miessence is a truly amazing line. For those who don't know, Miessence is from Australia. It has spread like wildfire for good reason. They are certified to food grade organic standards by Australian Certified Organic (ACO), the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and IFOAM (Europe). They not only have a outstanding skin care line, but also truly wonderful hair care, oral care, cosmetics, cleaning and more.

Good job on digging up all these cetified organic skin care lines. My favorite is Miessence. They have three organic certifications: USDA, Australian certified organic and Biological Farmers of Australia.

Thank you Susan for sending me your message about Organicare. It sounds like a fantastic skin care line. It is inspiring to know that you also have an award winning eco-friendly packaging and don't test on animals. I will add your information to the blog.
