Dagny, Thanks for your comment! Some great work has been done by the organization Forest Ethics.

Here are some blurbs from the article, Victoria's Secret Catalog Goes Green, 12/7/06 www.planetark.com.

The publisher of the Victoria's Secret catalog agreed on Wednesday not to buy paper produced from habitat of threatened Canadian caribou, a move environmentalist hailed as a victory in efforts to limit logging in Canada's boreal forests...

US retailer Limited Brands also agreed to increase the amount of recycled paper used in its catalogs, and to increase the environmental standards it requires from paper makers using the forests, which stretch across northern Canada...

Limited Brands also specifically agreed not to purchase any products from Canadian lumber, pulp and paper producer West Fraser Timber Co Ltd., which has significant logging operations in Alberta's foothills and British Columbia...

ForestEthics said, despite the conflict of the public relations campaign that included more than 700 protests against Victoria's Secret, the deal showed that environmentalists and industry can work together."

Well done Limited Brands.
Way to go http://www.forestethics.com .
They also have a no junk mail campaign & petition. http://www.donotmailus.org

I know there are a few organizations that have petitioned and boycotted certain companies including Victoria's Secret to use a portion of recycled paper in their magazines. As well, they boycott the companies until they agree to reduce the amount of magazines distributed. Small start, but a start none the less.
